The replacement tank LRA is designed for the Volkswagen Amarok TDI420 diesel 4WD, in single or body style Double Cabine, from 2011 to 2020. With its capacity to 130 litersIt replaces the original tank to increase fuel range for travel, raids, tracks and travel in isolated areas.

This tank is installed on the left side of the driveshaft, retaining the standard exhaust, original filler point, and spare tire. The instructions describe removing the standard tank, temporarily disconnecting the rear driveshaft, removing the quick-fill hose, cutting the original front bracket, relocating the rear axle breather, protecting the differential lock wiring, reusing the original fuel pump assembly, and drilling a front mounting point in the crossmember. If a flatbed skip is installed in place of the original skip, filling may require modification.

Since 1989, LONG RANGE AUTOMOTIVE designs and manufactures its tanks in Australia. Each model is developed for a specific vehicle application to optimize available volume while respecting the chassis's mechanical constraints. The tanks LRA They are made of 2mm T125CQ steel. They incorporate internal baffling to limit fuel movement, as well as an expansion chamber. Before being sold, they undergo pressure tests and several quality control checks. Tests are also carried out over dozens of kilometers of heavily degraded tracks. These tests verify the tank's resistance to vibrations, repeated twisting, impacts, and the stresses of prolonged off-road use.

We also do use the pickup in the forest, with brushes and stumps on its ways. So, we decided to replace the original skid plates with something sturdier. Almont4WD skid plates are sturdier than the original, definitely! All vulnerable parts are covered, there is one plain level from front to back, with no screws sneaking and ready to be torn off.
