There James Baroud mattress cover This is the original protective cover supplied with each hard-shell tent. You order it as a replacement (after several seasons), to have a second spare cover for travel, or to fit a non-James Baroud mattress of compatible dimensions.

High-quality breathable cotton, full-length zipper, custom-cut to perfectly fit the James Baroud mattress. Machine washable at 30°C — keeping your bedding clean and fresh even after months of heavy use.

Why change your mattress cover?

After several seasons of use, a cotton cover can become stained, lose its comfort, or wear out at the seams. Rather than replacing the entire mattress (which is more expensive), simply changing the cover restores its comfort for just a few dozen euros. It's also practical to have two covers: one for the tent, one for washing—useful for long trips.

Installation and maintenance

To install: open the full-length zipper, slide the mattress inside, and zip it up. Easy, takes just 2 minutes. To wash: remove the cover, machine wash at 30°C with a mild detergent (no fabric softener), and dry flat or stretched (do not tumble dry).

No, the cover is precisely cut to fit the James Baroud dimensions. A generic mattress will not fit properly.

5 to 8 years of regular use before a wash reveals micro-holes. For occasional weekend use, expect 10 years easily.

Is it available in colors?

No, James Baroud only offers the original off-white color, which is optimal for thermal regulation and comfort.

We also do use the pickup in the forest, with brushes and stumps on its ways. So, we decided to replace the original skid plates with something sturdier. Almont4WD skid plates are sturdier than the original, definitely! All vulnerable parts are covered, there is one plain level from front to back, with no screws sneaking and ready to be torn off. The parts are to mount easyly, and vehicle maintenance still is an easy job, too. Almont4WD is an excellent choice for the one who need the ultimate skid protection.
